All of the seeds that Pure Heirloom Seed Company sells are organically certified, open-pollinated, untreated, and non-GMO! We are certified organic through our certifier, the Ohio Ecological Food & Farm Association (OEFFA). Please find our current organic certificate here. All of the seed varieties that we offer are open-pollinated and can be saved from year-to-year, and will come back true-to-type, as long as cross-pollination is prevented from occurring between varieties of the same species.

SALES TAX & EXEMPTIONS

Pure Heirloom Seed Company is obligated to apply sales tax to orders in all states where it is required. For tax exempt organizations and resellers, please read the following information below to guide you in submitting your tax exemption form.

As a result of a Supreme Court ruling in June of 2018 (South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc., Overstock.com, Inc.,and Newegg, Inc.), a change was made to the state sales tax requirements for all companies selling remotely through websites and catalogs. Thus, in accordance with the decision, Pure Heirloom Seed Co.must collect and remit all sales tax in all states where tax remittance is required.

Each state that charges sales tax has an agency that is responsible for conducting the sales tax process. Each of these agencies decide which types of businesses are eligible for sales tax exemption. Please refer to your State Department of Revenue’s online website for information on exemption requirements.

A Sales Tax exemption certificate is the form that an exempt organization or individual provides to the seller to validate that they qualify for tax exemption. The tax exempt buyer fills out the certificate. Then a copy of the form is submitted to the seller to keep on file and provide documentation that the buyer is eligible for sales tax exemption.

If you possess tax exempt status and have a current sales tax exemption certificate or reseller permit, provide us with a copy so that we can keep it on file.

RETURNS/ WARRANTY

At Pure Heirloom Seed Company, customer Satisfaction is guaranteed! We are committed to providing the highest-quality and pure, true-to-type seeds. All of our seeds are germination tested and are guaranteed to exceed Federal germination standards. Pure Heirloom Seed Co. markets only organically certified, open-pollinated, untreated, and non-gmo seeds. We are certain that you will be happy with your order. On the rare occasion that you are experiencing dissatisfaction with your order, please let us know. We will either issue a replacement for your order or refund the entire purchase price of the seeds. As is customary in the seed industry, Pure Heirloom Seed Company will not be liable for more than the purchase price of the seed.

Pure Heirloom Seed Company warrants that the seeds purchased from us, when properly stored and planted will (1) successfully germinate for one year from your order date, and (2) grow true-to-type.

This Limited Warranty does not cover any damage to seeds or plants that are caused by gardeners, insects, animals, weather events, or people. Additionally, this Limited Warranty does not cover plant vigor as there are numerous factors that are beyond our control that affect the productivity of plants such as timing of planting, soil properties, pest pressure, weed pressure, weather conditions, crop spacing, etc.

Pure Heirloom Seed Co. will not accept any returns of unused or unwanted seeds, since we cannot ensure that the seeds were not exposed to harmful conditions such as moisture, extreme temperatures, or physical damage.
