About Our Seeds
At Pure Heirloom Seed Company, all our seeds are organically certified, open-pollinated, untreated, and non-GMO. We are certified organic through the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA). Most of the seeds we offer are grown on our own farm in Burton, Ohio! For transparency and trust, we provide downloadable and printable copies of our organic certification.
Our human-scale production fields allow us to meticulously monitor and select only the best plants to ensure seed purity. Each year, we cultivate and evaluate dozens of exciting varieties in our trial gardens. We guarantee that all our seeds meet or exceed federal germination standards, and we provide the germination percentage on each seed packet. This helps gardeners determine the number of seeds to start for their desired number of plants.
All our seeds are open-pollinated and can be saved and replanted year after year, returning true-to-type when cross-pollination is prevented. We do not offer proprietary hybrids (F1), patented, PVP-protected, or GMO seeds.
